About the Role

As a Centre Assistant, you will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the Centre. From helping visitors feel valued and supported to ensuring rooms are set up for various events, your work will directly enhance the experience of everyone who uses our facilities. * Event Support: Prepare rooms for events and activities by setting up furniture and equipment. Assist organisers and participants to ensure events run smoothly.
* Maintenance and Safety: Conduct regular checks of the premises to identify maintenance needs or health and safety issues, liaising with contractors for repairs.
* Bookings and Payments: Assist with visitor registrations, bookings, and payment processing, maintaining accurate records.
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, volunteers, and community groups to deliver high-quality programmes and services.

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
* Friendly, approachable, and professional manner when interacting with diverse groups.
* Awareness of health and safety practices.
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

* Experience in a community-focused or facilities-based environment.
* First Aid and Fire Marshal training (or willingness to complete).
* Knowledge of booking systems and basic administrative processes.

Why Join Us?

* Make an Impact: Play a vital role in supporting a well-loved community hub.
* Professional Growth: Access training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
* Dynamic Environment: Enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same.
* Team Spirit: Be part of a friendly and dedicated team that values collaboration.
