We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Sous Chef who is looking for a new challenge and is ready to become an integral part of our experienced kitchen team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will have the following skills: A good understanding of using fresh, seasonal and where possible locally sourced produce. A Professional qualification is desirable but not essential, as long as matched with experience. Minimum of Level 2, Food Hygiene Certificate Ensure that the kitchen environment meets EHO Standards and expectations Understanding and awareness of the various allergens Ensure that stock is correctly managed, and wastage kept to a minimum Able to order and check in purchases Ability to work efficiently and accurately without supervision. Ability to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard presentation is key. Punctuality and the desire not to let the team down. Be able to fill in the Head Chef on days off/holiday Menu planning and supporting the Head Chef.
