What Are We Looking For?
Our Asset Management team in Basingstoke is looking for a Civil Operative to join us on a permanent basis. You will be involved in carrying out general labouring duties including operating items of plant and equipment on various construction projects.
Please note there is travel and working away from home required as part of this role with accommodation provided by RSE, as well as a healthy subsistence allowance.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
Safe use of hand tools, machinery, plant and other equipment, only using equipment you are trained and authorised for
Ensure all plant & equipment is checked at the start and end of each occasion of use
Safe use of hand tools, machinery, plant and other equipment
Maintain accurate daily records for activities on site and man hours worked
Ensure that any defects are highlighted, addressed and actioned immediately to eliminate any risk of accident/injury/mechanical breakdown
Raise any safety concerns with your supervisor

Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill set and assist other disciplines when required
What Do You Need?
Previous experience in civil engineering projects and certified in the use of required site plant/machinery
Knowledge of site safety practices, including an understanding of Confined Spaces
Ability to utilise independent judgment in the performance of duties
The ability to work as part of a team
Full UK Driving Licence
CSCS card
CPCS or NPORS cards (Excavator below 10 tonne)
Full UK Driving Licence.
