Transport Team Manager
Location: Wednesbury, Armstrong Way, Willenhal, WV13 2PZ
Hours: 22:30 - 07:00 (40hours)
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Salary: £30, 231 Per Annum
Are you an experienced transport professional ready to take the next step in your career? Were looking for a Transport Team Manager to lead our overnight transport operations at our busy Wednesbury site.
Youll play a key role in ensuring our parcel transport runs smoothlyfrom coordinating collections and deliveries to managing internal and external drivers. Working closely with our Sort Centre team, youll ensure service continuity and operational excellence across both functions.
This is a hands-on leadership role where youll be the first point of contact for our transport team during your shift.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and deliver all scheduled transport activity, ensuring on-time performance and service levels are met.
2. Lead daily driver briefings and debriefings (employed, subcontractors, and agency).
3. Monitor and improve driver performance using operational data and reporting tools.
4. Track and respond to national and local KPIs, implementing corrective action where needed.
