Overview
Podiatrists - Diabetes Foot Protection Service. Band 5
We are recruiting band 5 podiatrists with an interest in diabetic foot protection. The post holder will be a member of the Diabetes Foot Protection Service (FPS) with podiatry skills and will provide evidence based comprehensive assessment, review and treatment for the local population at moderate and high risk, in line with local care pathways and professional standards.
Responsibilities
* Provide evidence-based assessment, review and treatment for patients at moderate and high risk of diabetic foot problems.
* Work within agreed care pathways, codes of practice and professional standards; embed Clinical Quality Guidelines.
* Develop programmes of care using strong assessment, diagnostic and communication skills; implement treatment plans.
* Mentor/new graduates to develop professional skills within the diabetic and high-risk pathways.
Qualifications and Skills
* Must hold valid HCPC Registration
* IT skills including Internet, Email and Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience in diabetic assessment and review; awareness of NICE guidelines
* Excellent communication with a wide range of people including staff and patients

* Probationary period applies (internal applicants may be exempt)
* Starting with NELFT induction and onboarding process; full or part-time flexible working
* High Cost Area Supplement: 15% of basic salary (minimum £4,714 to maximum £5,941)
* Certificate of Sponsorship: sponsorship may be considered; UK Registration required
* Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per year (pro rata) plus HCAS
* Contract: Permanent; Working pattern: Full-time, Part-time, Flexible
