Job Opportunity: Compliance Specialist
Are you an experienced Compliance Specialist seeking a new opportunity starting this month? We are looking for a professional to join our client on a 6-month fixed contract, following recent restructuring and increased workload. You will be part of a team of 4, overseeing compliance across the group business function. This role involves full compliance responsibilities and close collaboration with the CFO and stakeholders from financial and compliance perspectives. You will work across departments, focusing on reviewing, creating, and updating business contracts from a compliance standpoint.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
2. Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and mitigate potential risks.
3. Provide guidance and support to business units on compliance-related matters, including regulatory requirements, licensing, and reporting obligations.
4. Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to evaluate their impact on operations and recommend proactive measures.
5. Collaborate with legal, risk management, and operations teams to address compliance issues and promote continuous improvement.
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities, including policies, reports, and correspondence with regulators.
Ideal Candidate Experience:
* Experience in regulatory compliance, commercial contracts, and FCA knowledge.
* Previous compliance experience in a similar role.
