We are looking for a reliable, proactive and skilled Caretaker to join a friendly school community. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-presented environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Caretaker:
* Opening and closing the school premises
* General maintenance, repairs, and basic DIY
* Ensuring the security and safety of the site
* Monitoring heating, lighting and alarm systems
* Liaising with contractors and overseeing site access when necessary
* Keeping the school grounds clean and tidy
* Supporting with setting up furniture/equipment for school events
Ideal Caretaker:
* Have previous experience in a similar role (not essential but desirable)
* Be trustworthy, practical, and able to use initiative
* Have good communication and organisational skills as a Caretaker.
* Be physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks
* Be committed to health & safety and safeguarding standards
