About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registrar to join the Registration team. In this role you will serve and engage with residents registering significant life events, such as births, deaths, and notices of marriages. Also officiating Wedding and Civil Partnership ceremonies along side Citizenship ceremonies. We are looking for a registrar with proven experience and in-depth knowledge of registration legislation and is able to accurately register births and deaths in compliance with current legislation. The ability to register notices of Marriage and Civil Partnerships and officiate at ceremonies is highly desirable. Must be able to work weekends and occasional evening on a rota basis. It is essential that you are flexible and able to work across a various of locations within the borough. We look forward to hearing from individuals who share our commitment to excellent customer service and a passion for supporting residents during life's important moments. >> Click here to download the Role Profile Key Responsibilities: Act as Principal Officer for the proper registration of Births, Deaths, & Still-Births, overseeing registrations of marriages and civil partnerships, fulfilling duties as Deputy Superintendent Registrar, maintaining registers and certificate stock, and staying updated on changes in Registration Acts and Regulations. To provide excellent customer service to residents utilising Registration Service. Book, schedule appointments and take payments for statutory services and ceremonies using Stopford booking systems. Able work along side both internal and external stakeholders.
