Job Description and Responsibilities:
We are currently looking for a time:served Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Tipton on a permanent basis, working a double days shift (Monday to Friday). This is a hands:on role where youll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of plant equipment across the site.
Your work will include a mix of electrical and mechanical tasks, particularly focusing on:

Electrical maintenance and fault:finding on industrial boilers
*
Working with and repairing AC/DC motors, gearboxes, and pumps
*
Performing welding and fabrication as needed to support breakdowns or mechanical fixes
*
Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
*
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
*
Reacting to and resolving unplanned breakdowns quickly and effectively
*
Supporting production with ongoing equipment issues and ensuring minimal downtime
*
Keeping accurate records of maintenance work completed
This role is ideally suited to a practical, hands:on engineer with a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems. No formal qualifications are required : were looking for someone who is time:served, experienced, and confident working across a wide range of industrial equipment.
