Engineering Hydrogeologist UK Wide role at Jacobs – join a global engineering firm delivering water, environment and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
* Support excavation dewatering projects, tunnelling projects and assessments for large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Scope, supervise and interpret ground investigations to support engineering design.
* Produce and interpret groundwater reports to support underground structures design, groundwater management and hydro-geomechanical behaviour assessment.
* Work in collaborative multidisciplinary teams.
* Promote the consideration of engineering hydrogeology to foster innovative project solutions.
* Liaise with contractors, laboratories and regulators.
Qualifications and Experience
* Honours degree in earth sciences or equivalent.
* Chartered with the ICE or Geological Society (or similar).
* Demonstrable track record of technical delivery of engineering hydrogeology projects.
* Experience of groundwater site characterisation, site investigation supervision and quantitative groundwater assessments.
* Exposure to supervising in situ testing including variable head tests, packer tests, pumping tests, etc.
* Experience in specifying and supervising the installation of groundwater monitoring instrumentation.
* Sound knowledge of numerical modelling (e.g., SEEP/W and/or Groundwater Vistas or similar software).
