An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join the stroke rehab team on ward 21 at Fairfield General Hospital.
The stroke rehab ward is a busy environment where patients are transferred from the acute stroke unit for rehabilitation and discharge planning.
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to support our patients with all aspects of daily living and to encourage independence where possible.
Ideal candidates should have good time-keeping skills, be able to work well in a team, and also use their own initiative, with patient care at the centre of all work.
This role requires working over a 24-hour basis, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Main purpose of the job:
1. Assist in delivering all aspects of care to ensure patient-centred care is provided safely and promptly.
2. Provide clinical support to help the efficient running of the unit.
3. Assist in assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, enabling patients to achieve independence in daily activities.
4. Complete training in Band 3 skills such as ECG, venepuncture, cannulation, observations, and bladder scanning after appointment.
