Our Client, a Greater Manchester council, is seeking a Children's Social Worker to join their Front Door Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
* Act as a first point of professional response for contacts and referrals concerning children and families
* Undertake high-quality assessments in line with statutory duties under the Children Act 1989 and 2004
* Make timely, proportionate decisions to safeguard children and promote their wellbeing
* Work closely with MASH partners, early help services, and other agencies to triage and progress cases
* Identify levels of risk and need, initiating appropriate interventions or signposting to services
* Complete clear, analytical, and timely case recording and documentation
* Participate in strategy discussions, safeguarding enquiries, and decision-making forums
* Engage confidently with children, families, and professionals in often complex and high-pressure situations
* Contribute to a supportive team culture and reflective practice
Requirements of this role:
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience

* Use data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement, identifying areas for development and embedding best practice within the service.
