HVAC Engineer FGAS Location: Near Brackley
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
The Opportunity Hays is working with a well-established facilities management provider to recruit an experienced HVAC Engineer for a site-based role maintaining a large commercial to the Technical Services Manager, you will join a small, professional HVAC team. While support is available, the role will largely involve lone working, so confidence, independence and strong technical capability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems
* Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
* Fault-find, diagnose and repair HVAC plant and equipment
* Complete minor installation, refurbishment and upgrade works
* Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and KPIs
* Accurately complete all job documentation via PDA or paper job sheets
* Maintain strict Health & Safety standards, ensuring RAMS are in place
Essential Requirements
* City & Guilds qualification in Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
* F-Gas Category 1 qualification - MUST have
* Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
* Full UK driving licence
* Reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach
* Good communication skills and a professional manner
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience working within commercial facilities management
* Hydrocarbon refrigerant qualification
* Additional First Aid or Health & Safety certifications
