GSL Education are currently seeking a motivated Design Technology Teacher to work in welcoming schools across Sheffield (S5, S9), delivering engaging lessons that develop problem-solving, creativity, and technical skills. As a Design Technology Teacher (DT), you will plan and deliver stimulating lessons across a range of materials and processes, encouraging students to design, create, and evaluate their own work in a safe and supportive setting. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons aligned with the curriculum. Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent thinking among pupils. Maintain a safe workshop/classroom environment and follow health and safety guidance. Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support learner development. Requirements for Design Technology Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Strong classroom management and organisational skills. Passion for practical learning and student engagement. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
