Job Description
An established and growing construction and development organisation is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Bid Writer to join its expanding team. This is a full-time, office-based role supporting the delivery of high-quality bid submissions across a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects, including partnerships with Local Authorities and Registered Providers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in producing compelling, compliant, and timely tender responses, working closely with internal stakeholders to support continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and produce high-quality written responses for tenders, PQQs, and bid submissions
* Lead or support end-to-end bid writing activities in line with client and framework requirements
* Conduct detailed research to tailor responses to specific clients and opportunities
* Collaborate with project teams, commercial teams, and senior management to gather technical and operational input
* Edit, proofread, and review content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy
* Maintain and develop a central library of bid content and case studies
* Ensure all submissions meet deadlines and comply with quality and governance standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes and documentation
* Support presentations and written materials for client interviews when required
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a bid writing role within a construction or built environment setting
* Strong new build experience is essential; refurbishment experience is desirable
* Proven ability to write clear, persuasive, and professional bid responses
* Experience working on bids involving Local Authorities, Registered Providers, or public sector frameworks
* Excellent editing, proofreading, and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field
* APMP / APMP Practitioner qualification – desirable but not essential
