ROLE: Mobile Authorised Person
HOURS: 40 Hours
LOCATION: East Scotland

We're looking for a Mobile Authorised Person who will ensure compliance with JSP375 and support the effective delivery of maintenance and Additional Works across their area of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities:
* Accept responsibility for the practical implementation and operation of JSP375 to support the effective and timely delivery of Additional Works, planned and response maintenance.
* Produce high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements, issue safety programmes and Permits to Work, and ensure all documentation is completed and recorded in a timely manner.
* Assess competence of Skilled Persons, provide supervision, training and coaching, and ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times.
* Manage project work, liaise with stakeholders including DIO, Authorising Engineers and end users, and ensure works are completed to required standards.
* Support a strong safety culture, manage risk, reduce corrective actions (CARs), and identify opportunities to support MoD carbon reduction targets.
Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
* HND in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
* Significant practical experience of Safe Systems of Work including JSP375 and operational delivery.
* Management-level Health & Safety qualification (e.g. SMSTS) with knowledge of supervision, planning, and resource management.
* Technical qualifications and training as required by JSP375 including Emergency First Aid and Fire Safety.
* Strong problem-solving ability, ability to work on own initiative, and experience collaborating across teams.
