About the Role:
As an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising electrical, control, and instrumentation systems within a highly automated energy recovery facility. This advanced site processes non-recyclable waste, converting it into electricity for the national grid.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on EC&I systems
* Supporting planned and unplanned shutdown activities
* Ensuring engineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers
* Identifying and contributing to operational improvement projects

Who We're Looking For:
* NVQ Level 3 (preferred), HNC/HND, or equivalent experience in electrical, control & instrumentation maintenance
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a complex operational environment (e.g., Power Generation, Industrial Process, Oil & Gas)
* Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs
* Familiarity with Low, Medium, and High Voltage switching and control equipment
* Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
* Ability to work as part of a 24/7 operational team, including participation in an on-call rota
