Scrum Master


Location

Hybrid schedule: 2‑3 days a week in the office at Thorpe Park, Leeds.


Contract & Working Hours

Permanent, full time.

Core hours 09:30‑16:00, with flexible arrangement around these.


Salary

Role Overview

Proactive Scrum Master supporting Agile teams that deliver high‑impact digital healthcare products across e‑commerce, web, mobile, clinical, and operational platforms.


Responsibilities

* Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, feature refinement, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring sessions are efficient and outcome‑focused.
* Coach teams in adopting Agile principles, fostering a self‑organising culture and improving delivery performance.
* Collaborate with Product Owners, Managers, Heads of Delivery, Tech Leads and senior stakeholders to ensure backlog clarity, alignment and prioritisation against business objectives.
* Proactively identify and remove delivery blockers, escalating where necessary to maintain momentum.
* Enable effective coordination across technical, marketing, commercial, clinical, fulfilment and customer care teams to deliver integrated solutions.
* Track and share Agile performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burn‑down charts, cycle time) to support continuous improvement and data‑driven decision‑making.
* Promote a delivery culture that balances speed with regulatory, security and patient‑safety requirements.
* Encourage retrospection and adoption of new practices to enhance delivery flow, team morale and stakeholder satisfaction.


Qualifications

* Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, with practical experience running Agile sprints.
* Proven experience working as a Scrum Master in complex, multi‑team Agile environments.
* Technical fluency: ability to communicate with developers and understand architectural and system design.
* Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello or Azure DevOps for backlog grooming and workflow tracking.
* Strong empathy for users, translating feedback into actionable deliverables and coaching teams in Agile principles.
* Comfortable using quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience coordinating delivery across web, mobile, e‑commerce and operational services with UX/UI designers, engineers, QA teams and business leaders.
* Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills to evaluate trade‑offs and support sound delivery decisions.
* Understanding of technical systems to bridge the gap between technical and business requirements.
