Job description
18.5 hours per week, 38 weeks term time only
We are seeking a Student Support and Safeguarding Officer to support College tutors in the monitoring and tracking of full-time student attendance and punctuality at our Stratford-upon-Avon Campus. The Student Support and Safeguarding Officer will also act as mentor to students who find it difficult to sustain regular attendance and fall below the agreed College attendance levels.
The post holder will also support the Caring Services Coordinator and DSL/ Lead Officer for Safeguarding in providing support to students disclosing abuse and welfare issues, making appropriate referrals to external agencies as required.
You will have a good general education, a proven track record of working in a post 16 educational environment and a strong knowledge of current welfare issues. Experience of working in a Safeguarding role is advantageous.
