Job Purpose
Working as part of a fast-paced and ambitious retail business with over 40 years’ experience of selling toys, you will play a key role in delivering the management reporting requirements for the organisation. You report into the Financial Reporting Manager, and you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful accounting information and financial data for the business.
Working within the management accounts team, have excellent attention to detail, a flexible approach and exceptional analytical and commercial skills to deliver great results. You are ambitious, driven and energetic and willing to apply yourself in all aspects of the role. Skills & Experience
1. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience within management accounts.
3. Part Qualified accountant (studying ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
4. Ability to analyse complex information and produce clear verbal and written reports.
5. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with non-finance stakeholders and ability to communicate financial information clearly. deadlines and take day to day decisions in the running of the finance department.
Responsibilities
6. Prepare designated cost lines for inclusion in monthly management accounts.
7. Review and analyse variances in allocated cost lines against budget, and report findings with actionable insights.
8. Compile and reconcile key monthly balance sheet items to maintain financial integrity.
9. Own the periodic reconciliation of online cash receipts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
10. Maintain and update the accruals and prepayments tracker to support accurate forecasting.
11. Partner with the Commercial Finance team and budget holders to clarify and communicate financial performance.
