Overview:
A well-established renewable energy installation company is looking for an experienced Electrician to join its installation team, delivering Solar PV, battery storage and wider low-carbon energy systems across domestic, commercial and new build projects.
This is a hands-on role working within a skilled team delivering high-quality renewable energy installations across Scotland, with opportunities for ongoing development in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and commission Solar PV and battery storage systems
Carry out electrical wiring, inverter installations, panel mounting, and switchgear work
Complete fault finding, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair tasks
Undertake EICRs and ensure compliance with current regulations and standards
Read and interpret electrical drawings and installation documentation
Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver safe and efficient installations
Carry out testing, commissioning, and accurate certification
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and documentation
Liaise with internal teams to support project delivery and technical requirements
Requirements:
Essential
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
City & Guilds Inspection & Testing (2391-52)
Proven experience with EICRs
ECS Card
Full UK driving licence
Strong electrical installation experience (domestic and/or commercial)
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Strong understanding of safe working practices and regulations
Ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable
Experience with Solar PV and battery storage systems
Experience with EV charge points
Previous renewables experience
