GSL Education is in search of a Science Teacher to fill a post at one of our client schools in Lincoln.
Role of a Science Teacher:
The main role of a science teacher is multifaceted, encompassing various responsibilities aimed at fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of science among students.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and informative lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, tailored to the specific needs and abilities of students.
* Initially teach science and maths.
* Occasionally accompany students on Duke of Edinburgh award trips during the day.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and empowered to participate actively.
* Regularly assess student progress through tests, quizzes, practical experiments, and coursework.
* Facilitate practical work and experiments to provide hands-on exploration of scientific concepts and develop investigative skills.
* Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills, subject knowledge, and pedagogical approaches.
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience working as a teacher within an educational setting.
* Possess original or certified copies of relevant degree certificates (e.g., Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, PGCE).
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or evidence of completing a recognized teacher training program.
* Have relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or related fields.
* Be passionate about supporting student learning and development and making a positive difference.
This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must pass all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
