We are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator for a growing specialist civil engineering contractor based in Hampshire. The business has an outstanding reputation up and down the country in marine construction and civil engineering projects such as port expansions, sea walls, boat lifting facilities as well as working with local authorities and private clients.
The role is suited to someone who has experience in construction and is used to managing plant, materials and coordinating transportation. On a day to day basis you will liaise with various stakeholders and the Project Manager to ensure a smooth operation and use your initiative to any challenges along the way.
Key Duties:
* Work with suppliers to procure equipment and negotiate terms
* Coordinate the plant and materials for timely delivery to project sites
* Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate records for maintenance etc
* Maintain a safe warehouse and yard
They undertake projects as both a principal contractor and subcontractor working with some of the UK’s largest contractors as well as carrying design and build marine projects directly for the client. The business is growing year on year and delivering projects up to £2m.
