About The Trainee Accountant Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join either our accounts or audit team within our Leeds office.
A fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start your career in accountancy, joining an apprenticeship scheme, you will be working towards an internationally recognised accountancy qualification (AAT Level 3 and 4) and gaining valuable on‑the‑job experience with a highly respected accountancy firm.
After you achieve your AAT qualifications you will continue to build your career with TC Group and take on greater levels of responsibility. Individuals who show strong aptitude for audit, tax and accounting along with the highest level of academic ability will have the opportunity to work towards an ICAEW ACA Chartered Accountant qualification.
You will join a dynamic accounts team with a high-quality client base, rapidly gaining responsibility by also helping the management team with the office running whilst at the same time completing your accounting qualification with us.
You will learn about the preparation of financial accounts, interpretation of financial data and accounting and tax legislation. Equally as importantly you will learn how to work effectively in a team, how to build strong and lasting professional relationships and also how to deliver exceptional client service. This is a diverse role and you need to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and have a willingness to learn.
About You
* Strong GCSE results in Maths and English, grade 4 or above
* A levels (C and above) or equivalent
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
* Strong attention to detail
* Self‑motivated and willing to succeed
* Highly personable with excellent communication skills
* Organised, efficient with attention to detail
* Able to demonstrate drive and initiative
* Have access to a car and hold a current UK driving licence (or be working towards this)
* Have a current right to work in the UK
