Job Summary:
Pointer Ltd is seeking a highly organised and proactive Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling service and maintenance engineers across multiple regions, working closely with the Maintenance department and the Planner for Scotland. You will ensure the efficient allocation of resources, manage work orders, and liaise with Service Managers and Supervisors to prioritise tasks.
Additionally, you will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to response times and service delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and service standards are maintained. This dynamic role requires you to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work under pressure while supporting continuous improvement within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Review outstanding work orders and efficiently schedule tasks for service and maintenance engineers across England, collaborating closely with the Planner for Scotland to ensure seamless coordination across regions.
* Liaise with the Maintenance department to stay informed on upcoming monthly maintenance schedules, ensuring that tasks are effectively allocated and resources are optimally utilised for maximum efficiency.
* Work in close partnership with Service Managers and Supervisors to assess available resources, ensuring the right engineers are assigned to the right tasks based on skill sets and availability, while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changes as needed.
* Monitor and ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) related to response times and service delivery are consistently met, proactively addressing any potential issues to maintain high service standards.
* Continuously evaluate scheduling processes and make recommendations for improvements to enhance operational efficiency and meet business objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Strong IT proficiency, with experience using Service Management Systems.
* Familiarity with simPRO is preferred but not essential.
* Previous experience in planning and helpdesk operations.
* In-depth knowledge of various regions across the UK.
* Excellent customer service experience with outstanding communication skills.
* Proven ability to organise workloads efficiently, respond swiftly to changing priorities, and maintain focus under pressure to consistently meet deadlines.
Experience:
* At least two years' experience in a similar role.
* Experience of working in the fire & security industry (desirable).
