Auxitrol Weston is a global operating unit consisting of four manufacturing plants and multiple repair sites across Europe, the USA, Mexico and Asia. The Farnborough site designs and manufactures temperature speed and pressure sensors for gas turbine and airframe applications and houses extensive test facilities to support product performance verification
The business now seeks a Manufacturing Technician to support process improvement and provide direct support to production teams.
As the Manufacturing Technician your responsibilities will include
Providing hands on shop floor support while building strong relationships with operators
Evaluating and managing equipment and process risks using structured problem solving
Supporting engineering teams with reasoning driven decisions linked to process change
Assisting in the validation of new or modified processes to ensure capability
Implementing cost saving improvements across processes such as assembly welding coating and electrical testing
As the Manufacturing Technician you will bring
An engineering qualification at Level 4 or Level 5 with relevant practical experience
Understanding of lean manufacturing supported by strong analytical skills
Ability to interpret drawings and use 2D and 3D modelling for tooling jigs and fixtures
A can do mindset with the confidence to think creatively and challenge established methods
Basic knowledge of Excel Minitab and SPC to support data driven decision making
