Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (CPC Holder) Transport Manager to oversee our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient transportation of goods, managing a team of drivers, and coordinating supply chain activities. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of logistics management.
Duties
* Manage daily transport operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
* Oversee the scheduling and routing of drivers to optimise delivery routes.
* Maintain compliance with transport regulations and safety standards.
* Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to enhance service delivery.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to transport efficiency.
* Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining high service levels.
* Conduct regular training sessions for staff on best practices in logistics and customer service.
* Utilise Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, to manage reports and communications effectively.
Qualifications
* Manager CPC in road transport - with refresher training completed in past 5 years
* Proven experience in management within the transport or logistics sector.
* Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and driving logistics operations.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general IT skills.
* Exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on team development and motivation.
* Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* A customer-service-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
