Apprentices will gain hands-on experience working on real-world web development projects, receive expert mentorship, and build their skills within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. This is the perfect starting point for someone looking to launch a career in web development and grow with a company that values creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.

In this role, you’ll work towards a recognised Level 3 Software Development Technician qualification, delivered by our trusted training partner.

A Typical Day in the Job:

* Maintain and update existing client websites to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
* Collaborate with team members and clients to develop and implement new features.
* Assist with the design and coding of new websites or site sections.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various platforms.
* Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, analysis, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
* Write logical, maintainable code aligned with project specifications.
* Identify and fix common bugs such as syntax, logical, and functional errors.
* Carry out various forms of testing including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
* Implement secure coding practices to prevent vulnerabilities and ensure website integrity.
* Work with version control systems like Git.
* Engage in regular communication with team members and stakeholders via email, meetings, MS Teams, or Slack.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external clients, and managers.
* Support the production of technical documentation and development artefacts.

Full training and support will be provided by both your workplace mentor and the external training provider.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

* Monday to Friday, standard working hours (exact hours can be tailored to your organisation’s norms)
* 40 hours per week
* 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

* Passion for coding and web technologies.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Eagerness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment.
* Good communication skills—both verbal and written.
* Experience with or interest in version control systems like Git.
* Grade 5 in GCSE English and Grade 4 in GCSE Maths (or equivalent).

This apprenticeship is delivered by a leading training provider, ensuring that you receive industry-relevant qualifications and practical experience to become a confident and capable Junior Web Developer.
