The Retail Media Account Executive will be responsible for driving growth and securing trade marketing budgets to optimise the use of JCDecaux assets. This role focuses on identifying opportunities within the retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors, engaging trade and sales teams, and ensuring JCDecaux is the preferred channel for retailer, trade, and shopper marketing initiatives. You will manage key accounts, foster new partnerships, and position JCDecaux as a leader in retail media innovation. This role is responsible for the day to day management of retail media enquiries and the planning optioning, booking and post sales processes across the Retail Media Programme, ensuring a smooth customer experience and meeting any SLAs in place or established for retail media clients. What you'll be doing Key Responsibilities: Strategic Account Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and any new retailers, e.g. Frasers Group, to increase engagement and ensure JCDecaux assets are integrated into their trade marketing strategies. Drive proactive engagement with clients to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, aiming to grow revenue to £1.5M–£2M, and increasing revenues onto non-Supermarket Channels. Secure placement on trade marketing schedules by delivering exceptional service and presenting JCDecaux as a trusted partner. Achieve revenue, activity and KPI targets set by your sales director. Attend regular client meetings both online and face to face Business Development Help identify and pursue new retail and brand partnerships, from brands including SPAR, Selfridges, and other key players in the trade marketing space. Support the Head of Retail Media in onboarding new clients and teams with administration and process documentation, creation of databases, and SLAs, implementing and maintaining standardised processes to support new Retail Media teams. Conduct outreach to trade marketing and sales teams within brands and retailers, staying informed on trends and funding opportunities within the CPG and retail sectors. Generate new business opportunities by leveraging market insights and presenting tailored solutions that align with client objectives. Industry Engagement Represent JCDecaux at industry events to build relationships, identify trends, and enhance the company’s thought leadership. Explore strategic partnerships and collaborations that strengthen JCDecaux’s position and thought leadership within the retail media landscape. Collaboration and Team Support Work closely with the Head of Retail Media to optimise relationships with all Retail Media clients including Tesco, Waitrose, and trade marketing agencies (e.g., Capture). Work closely with Direct Sales Support and Campaign Management to understand changes in process and implication for Retail Media Business. Support the wider retail media team by providing insights, sharing opportunities, and assisting with strategic planning. Act as an internal ambassador and expert for the Retail Media Programme. Operational Excellence Take responsibility for the accurate optioning, booking on and processing of all Retail Media bookings on internal systems; management of Internal systems including Salesboard and Connect for sales Respond swiftly and professionally to client briefs and inquiries, monitoring and maintaining bespoke trackers and dedicated inboxes, to ensure timely and accurate processing of bookings and administrative tasks, delivering a high standard of customer care throughout the bookings cycle and process Arrange campaign photography and deliver post campaign photography and reports to clients where required. Maintain a high standard of service delivery, adopting a customer-first approach in all interactions; Ensure that SLAs are met and monitor regularly with Retail Media customers to ensure that these are relevant and fit for purpose. Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing actionable insights to clients to demonstrate value and effectiveness. Work with Campaign management, Head of Planning and Operations and Head of Retail Media to anticipate and resolve any customer or campaign issues Maintain up to date and accurate Retail Media Contact details in Connect for Sales. A little bit about you Key Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of trade marketing and shopper marketing trends within retail and CPG sectors. Proven track record in account management and business development, with experience in securing and growing client relationships. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving challenges. Strong prioritising, planning and organisational skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. High attention to detail and highly Numerate Familiarity with trade marketing agencies and their processes is a plus. Qualifications Desirable skills & qualifications Confident, self-assured and a tough negotiator, driven by targets, success and reward. Able to demonstrate a proven track record of target achievement ideally within media sales and media trading (exceptional candidates from other backgrounds will be considered), Must have a full understanding of the sales structure and process. A strong prospector, communicator with the ability to demonstrate effective and persuasive presentation skills. Ability to meet deadlines, work within timescales and demonstrate initiative and creative thinking. Essential skills & qualifications Sound knowledge of media and if possible creative planning, research and evaluation tools Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Computer literate Higher education preferable but not essential.
