You'll take the lead in building scalable, resilient systems and shipping features end-to-end — from designing databases to crafting pixel-perfect React components. You’ll own key infrastructure decisions and work side-by-side with product leaders and execs to shape the tech vision. You’ll be: Architecting and building full-stack features (React, APIs, microservices, DBs) Designing scalable infrastructure for real-time, data-intensive systems Leading by example: mentoring engineers, setting best practices Driving architectural decisions and technical strategy Collaborating cross-functionally with product, security, and legal teams What We’re Looking For You're not just an engineer — you're a builder, a problem-solver, and someone who sees the big picture. You thrive in fast-paced environments, make smart tradeoffs, and love building elegant solutions to complex challenges. Must-haves: Expert in JavaScript, Python, Go, or Rust Deep understanding of system design and cloud-native architectures Skilled in containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Bonus points for: 8 years of experience shipping production-grade software Real-world experience scaling systems in startup/hypergrowth environments Knowledge of AI-augmented development tools Contributions to open-source or technical blogs Experience with WebSockets, gRPC, GraphQL, message queues Location, Flexibility & Perks Hybrid Work : Balance remote flexibility with a few days in the Belfast city-centre office Flexible Hours : Collaborate with US-based teams on your own schedule Travel : Some travel to the U.S. for planning sessions and team offsites Equipment Provided : MacBook Pro, monitor, peripherals — the works Why This Role?
