Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Knowsley, Liverpool to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Year 6 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting as soon as possible.
This Year 6 Teaching Assistant position involves working one-to-one with a child in Year 6 who has Autism and Complex Needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and highly adaptable to the individual learning needs of the child. You will play a key role in supporting the pupil’s educational and emotional development within a structured and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism and Complex Needs
2. Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
3. Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
4. Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
5. Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Requirements:
6. Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and Complex Needs
7. Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills
9. Commitment to supporting the child’s academic and emotional development
