AML & Fraud Support Advisor (Call Handler)

Hours: 20h per week

Location: Essex House, Stevenage - This role is office based.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Sunday 5 out of 7. Schedule is between 7am and 8pm

Salary: £ p/a (20h pro rata)

Join Us as an AML and Fraud Support Advisor and Help Keep Our Business Secure

Do you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for compliance, and the curiosity to spot what others might miss? As an AML and Fraud Support Consultant, you'll play a critical role in protecting our customers, colleagues, and business from financial crime, while making sure our processes remain compliant, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices.

Working alongside the AML and Fraud team and under the guidance of the MLRO, you'll support monitoring plans, investigations, and day-to-day guidance - helping eurochange stay one step ahead in the fight against financial crime.

Explore How You'll Support Our Purpose

Support compliance with AML, CTF, and fraud prevention regulations, ensuring our processes meet regulatory standards
Assist in delivering the AML and Fraud monitoring plan to schedule and quality expectations
Provide day-to-day support to branches and teams on KYC and due diligence requirements, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
Escalate unusual transactions promptly for assessment of potential suspicious activity
Monitor controls, highlight risks, and contribute to risk-based assessments across functions
Support investigations into suspicious activity, gathering documentation and maintaining detailed records
Review daily transaction reports, annotating actions and ensuring the AML database is updated with large and linked transactions
Collate data for management information reports, flagging anomalies for review
Provide accurate, clear guidance to colleagues on compliance best practice
Foster strong relationships with internal teams to promote a risk-aware culture across eurochange
Stay informed on technology trends that could support anti-financial crime efforts and suggest improvements
Proactively contribute to a culture of compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement

The Stand-Out Qualities to Be Part of #Teameurochange

Recognised AML or fraud qualifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, CRMP) or working towards them
Solid understanding of AML, CTF, and fraud prevention regulations and best practice
Experience in financial services, ideally in a compliance or customer-facing role
High attention to detail with an investigative mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to support colleagues and escalate concerns
Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with AML systems or databases
A proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset
