We specialise in the home mover market, providing broadband, energy, water and Sky services. We currently serve over 61,000 customers, with a clear growth strategy to exceed 100,000 customers within the next 1-2 years through a combination of organic growth and acquisitionled expansion across the telecommunications sector.
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior, commercially focused Financial Controller to lead and control the financial management of the Telecom Acquisitions Group. This is a grouplevel, senior management role, reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the executive leadership team.
The role goes beyond traditional financial control, combining handson leadership of finance operations with strategic insight, acquisition support, and seniorlevel decisionmaking. The Financial Controller will play a critical role in scaling the business, strengthening financial controls, and supporting sustained, profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Senior Business Partnering
* Act as a senior finance partner to the CFO, CEO, and wider senior leadership team, providing insight, challenge, and commercial guidance.
* Deliver highquality financial analysis, forecasting and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions across pricing, investment, resourcing and acquisitions.
* Own group budgeting, reforecasting, and mediumterm financial planning.
* Produce clear, insightful monthly reporting with strong narrative and variance analysis.
2. Group Financial Control & Governance
* Hold overall responsibility for group financial control, including management accounts, consolidation, cashflow management, billing, credit control and treasury oversight.
* Ensure robust financial governance, controls, and policies across all group entities as the business scales.
* Lead the monthend close process across the group, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
* Own statutory reporting, audit preparation and auditor relationships.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting (Sage 200 experience preferred).
3. M&A, Integration & Growth Support
* Support financial due diligence for acquisitions, including customer book purchases and corporate transactions.
* Manage financial onboarding and integration of acquired entities, ensuring rapid alignment with group reporting and controls.
* Build and maintain acquisition, valuation and performance models.
* Partner with operational teams to ensure acquisitions deliver expected financial outcomes.
4. Finance Team Leadership
* Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, building a proactive, highperforming finance function.
* Embed a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
* Strengthen collaboration between finance and the wider business to ensure finance is viewed as a valueadding partner.
Core Competencies & Skills
Technical & Professional
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, ideally within a fastgrowth or acquisitionled environment.
* Strong knowledge of consolidation, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and controls.
* Advanced Excel capability
* Sage 200 experience desirable

* Commercially astute, analytical and confident operating at senior management level.

Remuneration & Benefits
* Salary: Financial Controller level (aligned to experience) - £55k - £65k
* Bonus
