Summary of This Role
Responsible for analyzing system performance to ensure optimal processing efficiency. Works closely with IT Technical and Application Support teams to identify and resolve processing issues. Develops and manages multiple software packages involved in analyzing system and batch performance. Performs problem diagnosis, analysis, and executes corrective actions. Creates and maintains analytical reports for technical and business stakeholders. Supports Business Continuity activities and provides operational support for all conversion/deconversion activities. Communicates with internal and external clients.
What Part Will You Play?
* Engages, escalates, and communicates notifications to technical support, management, and incident teams. Manages bridge calls to facilitate issue resolution.
* Provides communication and action plans for client-impacting issues. Assesses incident criteria for root cause analysis. Collaborates with technical teams and communicates updates to clients.
* Ensures change activities are planned, authorized, and executed following internal procedures.
* Contributes to service improvement by providing feedback on processes and services.
* Assists with automation tools, applications, and processes.
* Identifies tuning opportunities to optimize runtime and works with teams to address issues.
* Maintains communication with internal partners regarding critical issues.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Information Technology or Business, or equivalent experience.
* No specific experience required or typically no experience needed.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree.
* IT or Business-related studies.
* 2 Years relevant experience.
* Experience with CA, BMC, or IBM suite of products.
Desired Skills and Capabilities
* Ability to learn and apply professional concepts, follow policies and procedures.
* Works on limited scope problems, follows standard practices, and builds internal relationships.
* Receives detailed instructions; capable of multitasking and adapting to multiple projects.
* Understanding of mainframe and distributed systems concepts.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SQL, DB2, etc.
