It's a great time to join our award-nominated, central finance team here at PTSG This role primarily focuses on reporting of revenue, accrued income, materials, inventory and related direct costs. You will also conduct financial analysis and produce reports on the profitability of each business.
This is a full time, permanent role, working 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. You will be based from our
Castleford
head office
(WF10 5HW)

What you will be doing:
* Periodic accounting, recognising income and costs and capturing accrued / deferred income.
* Provision of relevant financial analysis on the profitability and efficiency of each business, including variance analysis of actual versus budget/forecast.
* Management Accounts; including analysis and commentary of the financial result each period.
* Business Partnering Operational Teams to ensure accurate business reporting and good operational/cost control.
* Periodic accounting, recognising income and costs and capturing accrued / deferred income.
* Provision of relevant financial analysis on the profitability and efficiency of each business, including variance analysis of actual versus budget/forecast.
* Revenue recognition
* Materials and direct costs, ensuring all materials are booked in and out of inventory accurately
* Balance sheet preparation
* Support the external audit process by ensuring robust reconciliations and support is in place for areas, such as revenue recognition, accrued/deferred income/costs, stock counts and relevant accruals and prepayments.
* Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for all projects
* Periodic stock counts and analysis
What we're looking for?
* Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Sage
* Good knowledge of accounting principles
* Strong business partnering skills with the ability to engage with and challenge operational staff
* Ability to quickly build effective working relationships
* Analytical, accurate and detailed
* Pragmatic and flexible in approach
* Self-starter and able to work autonomously
* Strong time management and the ability to prioritise
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) would be advantageous but we will consider study support for part qualified candidates
