Are you looking for a meaningful way to connect with your community? We have an exciting opportunity for a care assistant to join our 'Outstanding' island team.
With no two visits being the same, daily tasks can include:
* Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants, etc.)
* Organising and tidying cupboards and checking food expiry dates
* Planning, preparing, and tidying away meals
* Answering the door
* Assisting with pet care
* Providing Dementia / Alzheimer care
* Providing respite / convalescence care
* Assisting with morning/wake-up and evening/tuck-in routines
Companionship:
* Offering companionship and conversation
* Monitoring diet and eating habits
* Stimulating and encouraging through activities (e.g., clothing selection, hobbies, crafts)
* Arranging and providing reminders for appointments, activities, and outings
* Helping with travel arrangements
* Organising mail and writing letters
* Assisting with walking (lending an arm to steady)
* Accompanying to appointments and social events (e.g., visiting friends or family, lunch, club meetings)
Assisting with personal care:
* Providing medication reminders
* Helping with bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Helping with continence care
* Assisting with eating and drinking

Qualifications
Full training will be provided. No previous care experience necessary. We seek individuals from across the community who share our values of compassionate care and building genuine relationships with clients.
