Commis Chef – Courtyard by Marriott Aberdeen Airport

Courtyard by Marriott Aberdeen Airport is a contemporary hotel for business and leisure travellers, located just a short walk from Aberdeen International Airport. About the Role
This is a part-time position working 24 hours across 3 days, at £12.95 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Once trained and settled in, you'll be expected to confidently support the kitchen team by:
1. Preparing and cooking breakfast items in line with recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
2. Assisting with the smooth running of breakfast service, ensuring hot and cold items are replenished as needed
3. Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, allergen awareness, and cleanliness standards
4. Monitoring food quality and portion control
5. Communicating effectively with chefs and front-of-house teams during service
6. Assisting with food preparation and kitchen cleaning before and after service
7. Completing food logs, temperature checks, and other required records
8. Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy periods
What We're Looking For
9. Previous kitchen or chef experience (hotel or high-volume environment preferred)
10. A strong work ethic and a team-first attitude
11. Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
12. Flexibility to work early mornings and across different days of the week
13. Passion for food quality and guest satisfaction
