About the role:
1. Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
2. Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
3. Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
4. Liaison and partnership working including police, probation, courts, prisons.
5. Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
6. Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
7. Motivational Interviewing
8. Children’s & adult safeguarding
9. Substance awareness
10. Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination

About you:
14. Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and/or experience of working within a similar field
15. Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
16. Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
17. Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
18. Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
19. Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
20. Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others

Please note you will be required to work flexibly across operational sites as required therefore it is essential to hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car. This role requires an enhanced DBS and Police/Prison clearance
Salary Range (pro rata if part time) CGL points 23 to 28 (£27,861.26 - £32,002.35) ILW / OLW /Fringe Outer Fringe (£694.25) Closing Date 12/10/2025
