We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals with mental health needs and/or additional support requirements, helping them to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
Shifts are flexible, with a combination of day or evening work and sleep-in duties, making this role ideal for someone who values variety and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred care and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
* Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing in everyday life.
* Offer support with daily routines, personal care, and social activities where required.
* Ensure a safe and calm environment during both active and sleep-in shifts.
* Respond appropriately to any issues or emergencies.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual care/support plans.
Requirements
* Experience in care, support work, or mental health services is desirable (training can be provided for the right person).
* Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and overnight sleep-ins.
