RAC have a new exciting opportunity for a Data Protection Coordinatorto join our Data Protection Team on a 6 - 12 month FTC
This is a hybrid role, working two days a week from our Bradley Stoke offices and three days working from home.
You will provide administrative support to the Data Protection team by managing all incoming customer requests related to Information Rights. As the first point of contact for internal customers, you will provide general advice and guidance on data protection issues, assign cases to the appropriate team member, and ensure outcomes are tracked within the relevant timelines.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a fast-paced environment, be highly organised and have a good understanding of data protection laws and regulations.

What you’ll do
7. Assessing all inbound customer communications, using knowledge of data protection laws and regulations to assign work to the most appropriate Data Protection team member.
8. Responding to and reviewing data subject rights requests and disclosures in line with applicable legislation.
9. Collaborating with the Team to ensure that personal data breaches and incidents are appropriately reported, recorded, and monitored.
10. Coordinating the data protection annual employee training calendar; ensuring all individuals are captured and trained in a timely manner.
11. Coordinating teams and collating responses for external data protection audits.
12. Notifying and supporting the Team with the review and update of relevant policies and procedures.
13. Coordinating responses for supplier due diligence including reviewing customer and supplier contracts/agreements.
14. Contributing to responses to data protection complaints.

19. Strong computer literacy skills, including the ability to learn and adapt to IT systems.
20. Ability to work under own initiative, as well as part of a team.
21. Demonstrate ability to understand risk of subject matter to the business and need to ensure customers receive a response within the required timeframe.
22. Willingness to travel to different sites where required.
