BakerHicks is seeking expressions of interest from Civil and Structural Engineers on various levels with experience in the power sector to support a growing portfolio of complex and high-impact projects.

About the role
You will contribute to the design and delivery of civil and structural solutions across a range of power sector projects, working closely with electrical, mechanical, and project delivery teams. Projects span from early feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Civil and structural design for substations, including foundations and steel structures
* Design of cable routes, trenches, and ducting systems
* Site development works including earthworks and drainage
* Structural assessment and retrofit of existing assets
* Design for safe and practical construction, including work in live environments
* Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
Project exposure includes:
* Substation new builds, upgrades, and extensions
* Grid infrastructure and resilience programmes
* Renewable energy integration including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems
* Data centre power infrastructure
* Industrial electrification and decarbonisation
About you:
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Experience in the power sector or related infrastructure
* Familiar with relevant design standards and best practice
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
