We are looking for a full or part-time chef de partie or commis chef to join our kitchen team. We work a 4-day week and cook everything from scratch using the best, local, and seasonal ingredients, offering lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea.
As a chef de partie, your primary responsibility is to ensure the highest standards of culinary excellence. With skill and creativity, you oversee a specific section of the kitchen, executing dishes with precision, and contributing to the exceptional dining experience synonymous with luxury establishments.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and has a passion for great food.
Job description
1. Setting up the kitchen prior to restaurant opening
2. Preparing a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers to that point in the line
3. Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal
4. Assisting with marinating, cutting, and precooking foods
5. Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes
6. Cleaning and sanitising their area with warm water and soap
7. Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift
8. Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment
In return, we offer great rates of pay, service charge (tips), and 28 days holiday with 3 days off a week.
