We’relooking foraQuantity Surveyorto join our Water Resources Environment Team. This is a key role in delivering robust contract management, administration, and assurance services across a portfolio of projects ranging from £200K to £2 million.
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead day-to-day contract and commercial management of Option A contracts, supporting delivery teams through ECC Project Management actions.
2. Embed best practice in contract and commercial management, driving continuous improvement and collaboration.
3. Implement and manage contract assurance strategies and frameworks, ensuring compliance with NEC3/4 contracts.
4. Provide support in procurement strategy development, including NEC price options and secondary options.
5. Ensure effective change control, early warnings, and risk reduction meetings are held regularly.
6. Guide delivery teams in dispute avoidance and resolution
7. Conduct routineactivities such as Final Account reviews, Tier 2 Contract Reviews, and DefectManagement.
8. Produce performance insights and reports,identifyingrisks and recommending improvements.
9. Promote health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
What does it take to be anEnvironmentalContract Manager?
You’llbring:
10. NEC3 or NEC4 Project Manager Accreditationorstrongproficiencyin NEC3/4and/or other contract management (e.g. JCT).
11. Degreein Quantity Surveyingorpreviousexperience in this area.
12. Demonstrable experience in contract and commercial management, preferably within awateror environment background.
13. Strong working knowledge of NEC contract management tools
14. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
15. Commercial thinking and problem-solving abilities.
16. Confidence in challenging and improving day-to-day practices.
17. Proficiencyin Office 365 andmaintainingfinancial records for audits and cost assurance.
18. Chartered or working towardsRICS.
