Material Planner – First Fit Expeditor
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £15.38 per hour
Contract role 6 months
Overview
Our client, a respected manufacturing leader, is seeking two organised and proactive Material Planner to support their First Fit Planning team. This full‑time 6‑month assignment offers hybrid working after initial training and an excellent opportunity to grow within a busy supply chain environment.
Working Pattern: Onsite first 3 weeks, then hybrid (3 days onsite)
Hours: Monday–Friday, flexible office hours
Key Responsibilities
• Validate shipment plans with suppliers
• Maintain a 5‑day rolling shipment plan
• Support inbound PO management
• Track shipments across multiple sites
• Join daily and weekly review meetings
• Contribute to smooth planning and materials flow
• Ensure data accuracy and timely updates
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve supply issues
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders
• Assist with continuous improvement activities
About You
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Customer‑focused and reliable
• Confident communicator
• Able to manage complexity in a fast‑paced environment
• Comfortable using planning systems and Excel
• Background in supply chain or logistics preferred
• 1–4 years relevant experience is advantageous
• Secondary education completion or equivalent experience
