Our client is looking to welcome an ambitious person to join their growing Manufacturing & Warehouse team in Peterlee as a Lean Manufacturing Apprentice (Tape Edger).Duties will include:Ensuring mattresses are produced to the correct specificationMaintaining a safe working environment and adhering to health and safety regulationsOperating machinery and production line equipmentPerforming quality checks and inspections to ensure finished goods are in line with quality policyPerforming routine maintenance on equipmentReporting any defects or issues to managementMeeting production targets and deadlinesAlways maintaining a clean and tidy workspaceComplying with all company policies and procedures including ISO and make recommendations for continuous improvementsAny other reasonable tasks as required by the management team.Required knowledge, skills and experience:Previous warehouse experience is not essentialMust be able to pass pre-employment tests including Drug & AlcoholFlexibility in working hours during busy periods (Core hours are 9am - 5pm but 8am starts are sometimes required)Ability to work in an organised manner, cleaning as you goTeam workRate of pay:National Apprenticeship WageThis vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Gem Partnership Ltd who are operating as an employment business.To stay safe in your job search we recommend that you visit JobsAware, a non-profit, joint industry and law enforcement organisation working to combat job scams.
