Tax Compliance Manager/ Senior Manager

We are supporting a well‐established professional services firm in Edinburgh to recruit a Tax Compliance Manager to join their respected Private Wealth & Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys both hands‐on technical work and leading a team within a high‐quality practice. The Tax Compliance Manager will play a key role in ensuring exceptional client service across the firm's private client portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing and supporting the junior members of the Tax Compliance Team
* Advising clients on tax returns, claims, elections, and liabilities.
* Working closely with the existing manager to ensure efficient processes for gathering client information and meeting deadlines.
* Reviewing tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and charities prepared by the team.
* Ensuring timely submission of returns and forms to HMRC and monitoring payment deadlines.
* Overseeing timely fee issuance by the team.
Requirements:
* Recent experience in tax compliance, ideally including trusts and estates.
* Confident advising clients on tax compliance matters.
* Experience using tax software and HMRC online systems.
* Experience managing or mentoring a team.
* Ability to engage effectively with clients in a variety of situations.
* Ambitious to broaden technical knowledge and develop wider tax experience.
* Strong understanding of tax compliance and relevant tax law.
* Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of clients.
* Experience implementing processes to maintain high service standards.
