A dynamic and forward-thinking organisation is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join its growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified professional to play a key role in shaping financial reporting, driving process improvements, and developing business intelligence tools that support strategic decision-making.
Location: Kidlington - 4 Days per week onsiteSalary: £45,000 - £60,000 DOE + Great Benefits
What You'll Be Doing:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Support
1. Assist with monthly close processes, preparing financial results and insightful management commentary
2. Develop robust reporting packs for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
3. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across multiple business units
Budgeting & Forecasting
4. Support the maintenance of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
5. Collaborate with divisional finance contacts to ensure forecasts reflect current business realities
Process Improvement & Systems Integration
6. Identify and lead initiatives to streamline financial processes across the organisation
7. Optimise use of the current accounting system (Xero) and evaluate complementary financial tools
8. Implement automation solutions to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
Business Intelligence & Data Visualisation
9. Partner with senior finance leaders to build a suite of BI tools for operational and strategic use
10. Create dashboards and analytical reports that deliver actionable insights
11. Develop data pipelines and visualisation tools to support decision-making
Operational Finance Support
12. Provide backup for AP/AR functions during peak periods or staff absence
13. Assist in improving controls and processes within purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles
Cost Management & Analysis
14. Analyse common spend areas to identify cost-saving opportunities
15. Conduct spend reviews and collaborate with operations teams to implement efficiencies
16. Build cost tracking mechanisms to monitor savings delivery
General Finance & Project Support
17. Support senior finance leaders with day-to-day operations and ad-hoc analysis
18. Contribute to year-end audit preparations and statutory reporting
What We're Looking For:
19. Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent); part-qualified candidates with strong experience also considered
20. 1-3 years post-qualification experience in a finance role
21. Strong technical accounting knowledge and month-end reporting experience
22. Experience with accounting systems (Xero preferred but not essential)
23. Analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actionable insights
24. Excellent communication skills, especially with non-finance stakeholders
25. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
26. Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
