We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary 4-month, part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to provide front-line housing management services that make a real difference to people’s lives.

Role Overview:
In this role, you will manage a defined patch of properties, supporting residents and delivering key housing services. You’ll handle property lettings, income-related support, tenancy management, and address community issues such as anti-social behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the letting process for vacant homes, from viewings to tenancy sign-ups, ensuring compliance and great customer experience.

Conduct home visits with new tenants to check on their settling-in process and follow up on any issues.

Carry out pre- and post-tenancy inspections, ensuring properties meet required standards and liaising with contractors when needed.

Support residents to manage rent and service charge payments, offering guidance, referrals, and liaising with financial support services.

Respond to tenancy breaches, including anti-social behaviour or safeguarding concerns, and work closely with external agencies when needed.
*
Keep accurate tenancy records and assist with changes such as joint or sole tenancy updates.
*
Monitor health & safety across properties via scheme inspections and joint walkabouts, highlighting and commissioning improvements where necessary.

Promote resident engagement through consultation and involvement initiatives
