Job Summary
CDDFT Podiatry Department are looking for two enthusiastic and committed podiatrists to join our diverse team. The positions are suitable for both experienced and newly qualified applicants. Successful candidates will complete work‑based competencies specific to the job, receive dedicated mentorship, and be based in one of the multi‑chair clinics across County Durham and Darlington.
Main Duties
* Provide general podiatry care across the three core teams.
* Deliver specialised podiatry services.
* Observe and promote the Trust’s values and behaviours.
* Provide podiatric advice to patients and carers.
* Assess and treat patients within the team caseload, including adults and paediatrics, self‑referrals and referrals from other disciplines.
* Participate in the training of junior staff and students.
* Engage in service transformation activities to improve service quality and value for money.
About the Trust
We provide hospital services from Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham, a centre of planned care in Bishop Auckland, and community hospitals in Chester‑Le‑Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale. We also deliver care in community hospitals and patient homes across the region.

Person Specification
Experience
* Graduation from a School of Podiatric Medicine.
* Undergraduate experience with a broad range of podiatric conditions.
Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine.
* Local Analgesia Certificate.
* Evidence of CPD (Desirable).
Special Requirements
* Ability to work under pressure.
Special Skills & Knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Good organisational skills.
Statutory Registration
* HCPC registration.
