Eden Brown Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Criminology Lecturer to join a Further Education College in Lancashire.
This is a full-time temporary position starting asap for 3 months cover initially.
The Role
As a Criminology Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective teaching Criminology. You will support learners in developing a strong understanding of key criminological theories, research methods, and core content required for assessment success and progression. You will play a key role in curriculum delivery, learner assessment, and achievement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in Criminology
* Support and motivate learners to achieve their academic potential
* Track learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Prepare learners for internal assessments and external examinations
* Maintain accurate records in line with college and awarding body requirements
* Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A relevant qualification in Criminology or a related subject (degree level or above)
* Proven experience teaching Criminology within Further Education
* A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
* Strong subject knowledge of the Criminology curriculum
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
* A learner-centred, inclusive approach to teaching
